New Damned album is good if I havent said that before, go and give it a listen. More gothy/mod pop than their old material so be warned if you want a reprise of the early days. Strawberries fans will enjoy for sure though.

Saw the Damned recently... fucking awesome show. Haven't lost their mojo at all. They played all the new album though so some of the oldheads weren't happy about the lack of classics.

What did you think of the first one? Sequels are whatever but the og is a stone classic.

I've looked into this a bit more, he said in a recent interview that he intends to end the band in 2026 after it turns 50. I guess that he's trying to air all the deep cuts before they finish up. Agree on SS, definitely targeting US radio. Love the title track and a couple of other tunes but just lacks the punch. John Meyer was a brilliant guitarist but he lacked the attitude of Wells/Cocks/Riley.
