I like some T Tex so I’ll be interested to hear it, I’ll likely not give a shit once I’ve heard it but at this stage I’m curious. Bolan was the original screwed haired top hat wearing Les Paul playing Rock dude. It’s really only Electric Warrior, The Slider and another albums worth of killer stand alone singles that made T Rex good, there’s a lot of hippy nonsense and shit albums aside from the 2 great albums. 1 Quote

I have no idea why Axl insists on wanting to use Caram. If Slashs singles are anything to go by Mike Clink would be more appropriate for mixing. 3 Quote

They're yes-men who are fine with getting the crumbs from his plate. Someone like Mike Clink would give opinions and suggestions, it would never work. 2 Quote

A good producers job is to capture the magic and know the take. They push musicians to get that take. Axl’s gotta have the final say on everything it seems and like you said the rest are yes men. I also think he’d probably see Mike Clink and that sound as outdated. Axl cant make a basic sounding record, he all but ruined the Illusions albums with his vocal overdubs. He can’t leave things alone and he can’t be told when something is done. Caram captures a shit sound and that’s it, Axl runs the rest I’m pretty sure. 1 Quote

Fortus made some snide comment about him when they stopped using him for live sound. He's there to re-cut and paste the songs while Axl sits on a couch saying "make the school bell 0.2 db louder". Axl is definitely responsible for the sound of the NITL singles. 3 Quote

I like Dandy In The Underworld. Bolan liked to Rock now, yes he did. Taken too soon. PS I've always thought that Guns borrowed from "Ballrooms Of Mars" for Don't Cry. Quote
MAGATRON Posted April 27 Posted April 27 I wish they had covered Jeepster instead. That’s my favorite T. Rex tune. 2 Quote

It seems abit bizarre. 2 Quote
Sydney Fan Posted July 25 Posted July 25 Ill be laughing my arse off when either mickey/grandma Faxl come out during the first chorus. Quote
Gordon Comstock Posted September 21 Posted September 21 Tentatively planned for Spring 2025: Only 8 years for Axl to finish mixing the song... he's back to working at a CD-era pace! But really, this will be cool to hear. Recorded back when he could still theoretically pull off 2 minutes of good vocals in a studio, and it'll benefit a good cause. I assume doing an 'all-star compilation charity album' like Zak and his wife (sshh) are doing takes a lot of time to iron out details but at least this will eventually come out... 1 Quote
