arnold layne Posted September 5 Posted September 5 Twister came out in 1996. Seems a little coincidental, but why title a song Oklahoma? Quote

The Oklahoma City Bombing occurred around the same time as one of Axl’s court dates with Everly and Seymour. He felt as if Seymour and Everly trying to destroy him in court was similar to McVeigh blowing up that federal building in Oklahoma. But they say the song has changed a lot over the years and now it is more about Axl blowing up his own body with burgers. I believe what’s left of the song is called Burlin. Quote
gunsntortillas Posted September 5 Posted September 5 One of the versions used samples from Jim Ross, but they were taken out in 2004 for various reasons. Quote
VoidLykos Posted September 5 Posted September 5 Axl mentioning Oklahoma being renamed to Berlin in 08 most likely means it has vocals. Axl recorded vocals for roughly 40-45 songs including the album, singles and leaked songs etc etc So we have maybe 10+ tracks we have not yet heard. Quote
maynard Posted September 5 Posted September 5 I bet it is as epic as ATLAS SHRUGS and THIS GENERAL. Waiting for those masterpieces to come out were really worth the wait. BIG GUNS EPIC EVOLUTION OF GNR SOUND UYI3 MEETS QUEEN + NIN! 1 1 1 Quote
DaddyDont Posted September 5 Posted September 5 What if the vocals were just Axl whining about "blood in the water" with regards to Erin and her lawyers being sharks, and that's what Brain/Melissa used for the remix album 1 2 Quote
