maynard Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Guys tell me whatever you want about SALSH. I was really a big fan when I was a kid. I did not miss him in 2001 because I loved ELECTRONIC GNR at first and BH/Finck were good. I did not like VR at first because I was TEAM AXL/BRAZIL but now I truly like it. I hate his albums with Myles Constipator. His blues album sounds good but I'll never listen to that shit in full. His guitar playing has worsened over the years as did his tone. LETS TALK SALSH. 1 Quote
Sydney Fan Posted September 21 Posted September 21 Would take drunk GNR 90s/ VR Slash over the slash playing we have now. When he knows the only GNR material he will be playing on is redoing leftover CD songs from 20 years ago, i would be bored and uninspired to. The Co-Conspirators stuff is boring unless they get rid of Myles and insert Todd Kearns as lead vocalist and bass, but that wont happen. His blues stuff is only liked by a niche fanbase. His 90s /VR playing style will never return. Loved VR and would like to see this make a comeback but wont happen while he is still in GNR. Quote
Gordon Comstock Posted September 21 Posted September 21 His blues festival was better than the last few GNR shows I've seen. Hopefully that band becomes his main focus over the next few years, he's talked about doing originals and Tash is decent enough to carry an album. His live playing is what it is... he's gonna noodle and have a weaker tone than he used to, but still have some enjoyable moments. Quote
underdog Posted September 21 Posted September 21 Has he fixed his teeth yet? You would figure it would be very easy for a multi millionaire to find a good dentist. 2 Quote
All Things Considered Posted September 23 Posted September 23 It would appear one of his sons may have inherited his addictive genetics and is using steroids. No doubt working hard, but it can't be good for someone so young. Kid is 19-20 and jacked like the Ultimate Warrior. Quote
wasted Posted September 24 Posted September 24 Probably the biggest guitar hero of the 90s, not necessarily the best songwriter but if he's working with one it generally turns out great. If someone could get him some Izzy demos I think he could deliver the goods. Slash turning Silkworms into a GNR classic is still a miracle to me. Quote

Sydney Fan Posted September 24 Posted September 24 I prefer his guitar work to Ozzys Ordinary Man compared to the 4 , yes only 4, NITL singles he has been on in 8 years. Quote
Johnny Ramone Posted September 29 Posted September 29 80s & 90s Guitar Hero. Never been the same since that crow flew off with his soul. The replacement Saul/Soul has been disappointing. 1 1 Quote
