arnold layne Posted October 9 Posted October 9 Why not make the "Not In This Lifetime Tour" into the "Not In This Era" Tour? I don't see a better opportunity for Axl to reach a younger audience. Teens automatically gravitate towards Axl's juvenile antics. This is the perfect opportunity for Axl to express himself. He can start ranting again because the kids will think it's cool. This is the true bread and butter for Axl. He will get the kids all fired up before Taylor Swift. And in turn, will get the media fired up on some GN'R. Plus Taylor can have Slash come back on stage to do some solos, and maybe Axl can come back to do some piano stuff for the middle of the show. Maybe some of Taylor Swift's backup dancers can make more money on the side participating in a GN'R opener as well. This is definitely a situation where both parties can benefit. It's bringing in the best of both worlds, two highly successful tours, and bringing them together. Quote
Sydney Fan Posted October 9 Posted October 9 Duff can be the female bass player in both bands. Its hard to know if this band is wanting to tour into the forseeable future like the stones. If they are they will need to do some sort of package/co headling tour like all the other 80s bands are doing, but i think GNR think thats beneath them. Ill go on a limb and say 2025-27 is it. The 40th anniversary and potentially AFD anniversary will be it. We might get CD singles (Fatlas,SOG, Monsters) as the next single to promote the tour but its stumps by 2027. As a GNR fan its shit they have released 4, yes 4, singles , since reuniting in 2016. And 20- 30 year olds at that. But i suppose thats no different to what Van Halen did for their ADKOT album which was old club demos and outtakes. 1 Quote

gunsntortillas Posted October 12 Posted October 12 I could see Slash doing a solo in one of her concerts because he is the meme guitar player from that band my dad's grandpa knows. It gives the pop artist classic rock credibility, almost like when Rob Thomas let Santana get some shine back in the 90s. Axl wouldn't work. The security has been trained to tackle middle aged women who try to get on stage, so it would require a lot of coordination to ensure he wasn't accidentally injured by one of the venues staff. 1 Quote

Nothing wrong with little girls liking Taylor Swift. You can't expect an 8 year old to be privy to the ways of the illuminati. I'm not going to wish death on some kids because they have no idea about Operation Northwoods, and don't understand the nature of industry plants or manufactured consent. That's rough to have your kid die. Honestly, if we are judging people, the adults at GNR concerts are worse. We should know better. 1 Quote
