It's pretty pathetic they would even think about releasing another Box Set,

when they can't even sell the AFD one at over 60% off, after 5 fuckin years :classic_laugh:

That's just embarrassing.

"Limited Edition" Box Set.

5 Years Later.

Not very limited lol

They are so out of touch with the Fan base

It's just a bunch of junk thematically linked to AFD that is cheap to make. It's not even stuff that can really be displayed. I guess if someones apartment smells like cigarettes and their  parents being ashamed of them, they could hang the GNR flag in their living room for the Amazon delivery guy to see when they open the door, because if someone is the kind of person to hang an Appetite' flag in their living room, they have no friends or family who visits them. Because if they did have friends or family who visits them, those friends and family would care enough to call them a stupid idiot for having a flag of an 80s shit metal band proudly displayed, and they would quickly correct their behavior by displaying something more socially acceptable like pictures of crime scenes or their own hand written poetry about their high school girlfriend.

With that said, you can now get the AFD box for something like $350 with a coupon code. The vinyl alone would cost close to $350 at retail if they were individual releases. If I didn't think they had a warehouse of thousands of them, and that they will blow the price out even more, I might be tempted to buy one. That way, anytime my ego gets out of control, I can look at that stupid box set and realize I am just as flawed as everybody else.

$999.99 would have been a fair price if it were limited to 1000, because it would likely hold it's value or come pretty close. 10,000 produced was comical. I am hoping they do the same thing for the UYI set so we can all pick it up at a discount in a few years off the backs of people who were foolish enough to buy it at full price.

Correct me im wrong, but the whole AFD boxset design wasnt a UMG idea, it was strictly TB. UMG only looked after the music side, but the boxset with the tattoos and other shit memorabilia, and even pricing  was set by TB.

Im so hoping UMG own the whole illusion boxset and dont let TB manage anything,  and learn from the AFD boxset debacle.

Do you think anybody actually used any of the stupid shit that was in the AFD box? I bought it (mostly cuz i thought the box itself looked cool), and would've used the oldschool purple flag in my basement, but ran outta room. Other than the music in it, I'd be embarrassed if someone opened it and saw all the rings and temporary tattoos. Even my shitlib bandmates would probably call me a faggot.

Man what a joke.... Who the fuck wanted temporary tattoos, band skull rings, skull pins, badges, crap lithos, and all the other rubbish. Who’s gonna wear that shit and pay for it in monthly instalments... and meanwhile no live footage.

I will buy it eventually because I really want the vinyls, and as mentioned earlier in the thread the price is now a good enough deal for the amount of vinyl that’s in the box. I will be selling everything else online though once I pull out the vinyls and cassette.

So with this in mind, TB apparently thought 5 year olds had $1000 of disposable income to spend on faggy trinkets?? Or thought there was a big enough crossover between the Funko Pop soyboy crowd and GnR fans... He must be spending too much time forming his opinions from the queers and retards on mygayner lol.

He should ask the not queer, but still retards of GnFnR... FATnFnSHIT ... BadApples instead. We are the barely beating, artery clogged pulse of GnR fandom!

When you look at the faggy merchandise and soccer mom outfits on the gnrmerch site i dont think its hard to know who designed it.

For some weird reason the temporary tattoo thing threw me for the biggest loop out of everything lol. Who wants a "collectors" item that you can use once then never have again?? Not ever factoring in that most of the people able to afford the original price and have interest in it at release would have  been an average age of like 40-45 at the time. What a fucking doofus lol.

The problem with the pricing of the box set is that if they do the same thing again, anybody with an IQ above 65 won't buy it because it is obvious it will be on clearance in a year. Something like that should have maybe been limited to 1000. Even then, it wouldn't have sold out at $999. (Although, maybe I am way off)

If they weren't idiots, they would have at least Axl sign and number 100-500 of the remaining units. It would take the guy an hour (or he could just have Beta do it), and they could sell them all over again to the same people who paid 1k, probably for 3k to start, and then gradually dropping the price back down to $399 lol. Axl's autograph in any official capacity is pretty elusive.

If the guy signs fifty of them, and they bump up the price on those to 3k, that's $150,000 in revenue for 10 minutes of Axl's time since the box sets are a sunk cost now that nobody wants them at clearance prices.

While it is a different beast because it's a Topps card, Axl's Topps autographed card sells for 2000-3000.

You're not factoring in all the effort it takes for him to move his big fat arms around to sign 50 times. Sounds pretty ableist if you ask me.

Still way overpriced. It is a $50 item at tops.

It's not overpriced now, just no one wants it. The equivalent amount of vinyl that comes with it would be 300+. If you collect vinyl, or have self esteem issues, it is a good buy.

You can also find a 10 percent off coupon, and get it for $360.

If you want to argue it is a stupid thing to use your money on, the box set, or vinyl, sure, that's fair.

They should send what's left of them

 to the Ukraine.

They could sling shot these 12" × 12" Bricks at the Russians 🤣

Those rings and metal pics and necklaces and badges would make great shrapnel....

I just looked at their online store for the first time...HOLE E SHEEAT 🤣

"I LISTEN TO GNR WITH MY KID" shirts, an assortment of the vilest colour choices known to man, and SMILEY FACE AFD TEES!!!

Almost a bigger joke than Axl's appearance/vocals.
