Lions lol. Campbell is a meme coach and threw the game away with his boner for 4th down conversions. Yes, the WRs dropped a bunch of easy catches in the second half and the fumble was brutal, but not kicking 2 fgs when you can extend a lead is utterly retarded.

At least now the state of Michigan can finally celebrate my Wolverine's natty unencumbered!!

Didn't his bonehead go for it calls get the Lions to the NFC championship ?

yes, but would you rather have your team bonehead their way to the NFC championship and keep boneheading then lose, or figure out that when you have a lead against a top 4 team you should take points while youre up and extend a lead to live another day and finally get to the super bowl?

Oh he made the wrong calls tonight.

But i get him sticking to what got him there.

Sucks for Lions fans.

I think the majority of football fans with the choices left wanted the Lions to win the super bowl.

Agreed. Was hoping my hometown Lions could finally get over the hump, but NFL hasn't been a play-to-win league in decades, and Campbell not kicking either FG doomed them. He killed the momentum and squandered a 17 pt lead. The team was completely deflated the entire 2nd half, evidenced by the multiple easy dropped catches from the WRs..

Oh I'm not disagreeing with you.

I just understand his thought process.

But then again I'm also a idiot.

All of the diehard Lions fans I know are also defending him going for it on the 4th downs too, so you're definitely not alone in that. Im an assistant dline coach of a 4-5 high school football team tho, so i'm way more smarter at football than your average gnr forum poster :Hogan:

I haven't watched them enough but Lions defense isn't that good, certainly not good enough to contain Kittle or McCaffery. Their offense is getting threadbare but they got outclassed two weeks in a row by Jordan Love (lol!) and then by the Lions. It was basically Campbell who lost them this game. Detroit is a Wild Card team at best.

But my god this was a shitty year of football.

McCaffrey ran for 90 yards tonight on 20 carries. 4.5avg, a yard below his season average. He was at 35 yards in the 3rd quarter. Drops killed the Lions tonight.

I do not understand how this kid wins games. He throws passes right to defenders sometimes.

I don't like him either @Bill Brasky. He reminds me of a snobby little yuppie bitch. That's probably why Shannahan likes him. I mean if there was a "Most Unlikeable Faces" magazine, Shannahan would make the cover.

But the kid wins games.

I hate the "system quarterback" argument but I cannot dispute it. Watch a few minutes of this reel.

You can see he doesn't go through his reads. He stares down receivers. This makes me believe the 49ers success is a testament to Shannahan's offensive playcalling more than Purdy's ability to see defenses.

Even the lucky bullshit completions are just that. Lucky bullshit completions. He still stares them down.

I think the SF receiving core is very underrated.

I cannot argue Shannahan's offense. He is one of the best and one of the most unique in the game. It's tough to describe as an arm chair football fan. I have very limited experience in football, but I can tell you his style of offense is definitely a brand of its own.

This game will go down like every other Super Bowl. Which defensive line can bring pressure. Playoff football is different than regular season football. It's more physical and more clock management oriented. Tom Brady was the best in the NFL at doing this, and Mahomes does it well too.

I don't know what I am trying to say. I can't really see SF winning like the books say. Shannahan has not been successful in Super Bowls. They may have better receivers but nobody can tell me Purdy is better than Mahomes and nobody can tell me Shannahan is better than Andy Reid. Kansas City and San Francisco only give up about 17 points a game. The 49ers have allowed 20 points per game this post season. Kansas City remained at 17.

These numbers favor the Chiefs. I don't know what Las Vegas is smoking and I can understand the public putting down bets on Kansas City.

Perhaps if the 49ers triple team Kelce they have a chance but they still need to get past the Chiefs defense and Pacheco is not a bad running back either.

We will see in a week. It should be fun.

Purdy is surround by the best wr group in football with the best tightend and running back in the game.

That covers up alot of his mistakes.  If the 49rs had a above average quarterback they would be a juggernaut.

Brock Purdy is Andy Dalton.

@AxlisOld wtf are the Seahawks thinking ? Fire Pete Carroll for Dan Quinn ? Mike Vrabel was available wtf.

Redskins took Quinn. Seahawks got the Ravens DC.

Carroll was too problematic. Seattle needs a gender queer mixed raced head coach.

also lol hiring Dan Quinn

My bad bro but still a shit hire.

Pete Carroll is a defensive coach and a good one. Why hire a defensive coach whose unproven.

Vrabel was a way better option or they could've promoted Waldron who did a great job with Geno Smith.

Walden fucked off for Chicago.

Don't mind the hire. Ravens' D was badass, and on paper, so should Seattle's. Let's see what he can do with then. Seattle's offensive woes are mostly the line forcing Geno to run for his life. His big year last year was them giving him time to scope the field. Don't know what the fuck happened this year.

Son of a bitch. Close game at least. Defenses for both teams were definitely on display. Can only rely on them for so long.
