Also no clue where the "raspy" remix vocals came from.  Motherfucker re-recorded the entire song.  Why?  Here's a guy still using vocal takes from 1999 on the majority of his output the last two decades, but for this ONE song he went back and did a whole different take for some reason.


The guy is a complete mystery.

I'm guessing the original was closer to whatever Axl used to play as the "November Rain" intro - Dominquez also said the track he heard had scratch vocals, so the album vocals had to have been recorded 2002-2008

I think we have the real answer for why the director flat out rejected the track.

 

Funny how the heaviest thing he had supposedly ever written in the 90s was in reality a goddamn instrumental.

Also someone is pretending to be the Italian radio or news site guy over at evo now saying The General will be released digitally. 

These fucking hoarders love to cosplay and their fetish is circle jerking watching the community talk about the leaks or news.

 

Finally Monster's per said fuck heads is supposed to be B side to Atlas.

 

This band is a fucking joke.

Haven't listened to those Rock Band stems since back in the day but yeah...there were entire songs buried under the songs.

 

I didn't save any of that stuff but one of the nerds created a really interesting version of TIL only using the music buried underneath. I actually liked it better than the album version. I wish I had kept it. He had even removed the abrasive Finck solo.

 

And yes...the lyrics are garbage. They make Barry Manilow look like Roger Waters.

I always thought his initial reluctance to include it on Chinese Democracy was due to this reason. He knew it needed the Slash ingredient.

 

Remember, in 2001 he said Slash could appear on 3 songs if he apologized ( :perv: ).

 

TIL was more than likely one of them.

 

He really should've saved it. The songs history begged for it to be the first reunion single. It's origins are the studio hopping they were doing in between shows on the fall 91 tour.

-Convenience

-Until weeks ago we thought the party leak song WAS the general

-it leaked on the same day as the general

-there are still people who think it is the general

I don't know how to take it, Axl held better songs back for CD II, or production wise these songs sound better. Or Best Buy wanted safer material. Or if Axl sees General and Monsters as being more end of the albums songs.

 

Monsters and Atlas being the last two CD era songs wouldn't be too bad. 
 

Someone said the intro orchestra is on used on both tracks, but I can't hear it. 
 

Monsters works well after The General on a playlist.

He must be saving Zodiac, The Rebel, DTune, Oklahoma, Elvis, Quick Song, and a few others for a new album with Dan Duff and the Old Gravy Man.

I just found some hidden "hay hay hay" Axl backup vocals in TIL. Not even making this up. 

 

It is completely absurd that they are there, because there is no reasonable way to hear them in the final mix.
